About GHC
We have you covered.
At Garfield Health Center, we believe that everyone should have access to healthcare. Injustice and inequity in access to care, and in broader social, environmental and economic conditions, correlate to injustice and inequality in health outcomes. We believe those who serve a community should reflect the community they serve, sharing language, culture and lived experience. We believe providers must look beyond immediate treatments to the larger social determinants of health, and work to address inequities and disparities in our communities to create a more just, equal society in which everyone has an equal right and equal access to health care and support. We believe in a workplace where everyone is welcome, has a strong voice and is treated with respect and dignity. Garfield Health Center is committed to principles of justice, equity, diversity and inclusion in everything we do.
We do our best to provide proper care for the medically underserved and low-income individuals and families. We believe that healthcare is for everyone. We believe in serving our community through preventive and primary high quality care. We are culturally and linguistically diverse. Our multicultural staffs are bilingual with individuals being able to speak Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin), Vietnamese, Spanish, and/or Indonesian. Our community is everything to us. We believe in supporting and being present in our community, doing our part by providing community examinations, vaccinations, and education.
Our Story
Garfield Health Center was established over 20 years with the mission of providing comprehensive, culturally competent quality healthcare to our community in the San Gabriel Valley and Downtown Los Angeles. We strive to be the premier safety-net primary health care provider for low-income and disenfranchised community members, as we are aware of the lack of bilingual and multicultural health care services that are offered to our community.
We count with primary care professionals, pediatrics, dental care providers, chiropractors, mental health care, and obstetric services. Our staff is composed of folks who are bilingual and bicultural and who also live in the community that we serve. Our medical practice began in Monterey Park, but has expanded to Rosemead in 2021 and Rowland Heights soon. Our practice will continue to expand east towards Baldwin Park, West Covina, and Covina, and south towards Bell Gardens, Pico Rivera, and Huntington Park. As our community grows and expands, so will Garfield Health Center.
